    Last updated: September 7, 2026

    What is UK GDPR?

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), together with the Data Protection Act 2018, is the UK's law governing the processing of personal data. It applies to the processing of personal data of individuals in the UK, and gives individuals ("data subjects") specific rights over how organisations ("data controllers") handle their data.

Eco Clean Technologies complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and respects your data protection rights.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

    Right to Access

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and details of the processing activities carried out on it.

    Right to Rectification and Erasure

You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, or request erasure of your data (the "right to be forgotten") where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

    Right to Restrict Processing

You can ask us to limit how we use your data, for example while you dispute its accuracy or object to our processing of it.

    Right to Data Portability

Where technically feasible, you can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format to transfer to another provider.

    Right to Object

You can object to our processing of your data, including for direct marketing purposes, and to any solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

    Right to Withdraw Consent

Where we rely on your consent to process your data, you can withdraw that consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.

    How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of your rights under UK GDPR, please send a written request to:

    Email: [email protected]

    Subject Line: "Data Protection Request"

    Please include:

    • Your full name and email address
    • The specific right you wish to exercise
    • Any relevant account or transaction details
    • A copy of your ID for verification purposes

    Our Response Timeline

We are committed to responding to your requests promptly:

    Initial Acknowledgment

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 business days.

    Verification

We may request additional information to verify your identity and ensure we're processing the correct data.

    Fulfilment

We will fulfil your request within one month, as required under UK GDPR, or provide an explanation if we need additional time (which may extend this by up to two further months for complex requests).

    Our Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on:

    • Consent: When you explicitly agree to receive communications or use certain features
    • Legitimate Interests: As permitted under UK GDPR, such as for purposes we have assessed as necessary and that you would reasonably expect
    • Legal Obligation: When required by applicable UK law or regulation
    • Contract: When you purchase products or services from us

    Complaints Procedure

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data or believe we have not honoured your rights under UK GDPR, you can raise it through our Complaints Procedure.

    Email: [email protected]

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the ICO

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulatory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
